Office Information
Appointments:
Please plan on being in the clinic 10 to 15 minutes before
your appointment time. This gives our staff the opportunity to update
your insurance information and get you checked in to see the doctor
on time. Allow yourself even more time if you are not familiar with
where the clinic is or if you are a new patient. We work very hard
to see you as close to your appointment time as possible. However,
we can never predict what types of problems our patients may have
and we will sometimes be running behind schedule. If so, we will make
a point to inform you of the delay.
"No-shows" and Cancellations:
We have an automated calling system that will call and remind you
48 hours before your appointment. If you decide you cannot make the
appointment, please answer the automated system appropriately, or
call and reschedule your appointment with us. We understand that every
one can forget an appointment from time to
time, or that something more important suddenly comes up before your
appointment forcing you to cancel at the last moment. However, excessive
no shows and late cancellations (ie same day cancellations) have interfered
with our ability to care for patients who need our services and are
a loss of income for us. Therefore, if you have two consecutive "no
shows" or two consecutive late cancellations, we will require
you to provide us with a $50 deposit to hold another appointment for
you. This deposit will be applied to your charges should you show
up for the appointment, but will partially compensate us for our loss
should you fail to show up for your appointment again. We regret that
we have to take these measures and would prefer to see you as a patient
than keep your deposit.
Method of payment:
As a courtesy to you, we will submit your incurred charges to your
insurance company. We do, however,
expect you to pay us your co-payment and any deductible or past charges
that you have with us on the day of your appointment. We accept cash,
checks and all credit cards. We will charge you a fee for returned
checks.
Medication refills:
We are happy to refill any prescription medication that we have previously
prescribed for you up to one year after your last visit with us. Simply
call us during normal working hours, (864-242-5872) or click here
for prescription refill information.
After hours:
There will be a physician “on-call” 24 hours a day for
patients of Greenville Dermatology who have problems that cannot wait
until the next business day. To access this physician, call our office
number (864-242-5872) and follow the instructions.
Miscellaneous:
Our waiting room is small and therefore we ask that only the patient
themselves, or the patient and a responsible adult come to the clinic
for an appointment. Please turn your cell phone off when you are called
back to see the doctor. We also ask that you do not bring any food
or drink to the waiting room.
We look forward to caring for your dermatology problems and by following these simple rules we will be able to see you more efficiently and timely. We welcome your comments and suggestions and have left a survey for you to fill out in our waiting room for this purpose.
